OIDFA (L’Organisation Internationale de la Dentelle au Fuseau et à l’Aiguille) was founded in 1982 and is registered under French law. It is managed by an Administrative Council (AC), with members representing individual countries elected by members in that country, and by an Executive Committee (EC), elected by the AC from those of its members who have served for at least two years. The EC is responsible for the day-today operation of the organisation. A General Assembly of all members is held at the biennial Congress, and this is required to approve the financial report, reports of the EC, and major decisions proposed by the EC before these may be accepted.
