Everyone registered for Virtual Congress is invited and will receive the zoom link and directions.

Lace Bingo is a fun way to learn about many types of lace in a game format, and meet other lacemakers on Zoom. Lace BINGO will be played on 20 July at 16:30 cet.

Each player receives a playing board marked with 25 squares. Each square contains the name of a lace. The ‘caller’ will present a picture of lace on the screen which you identify.  Don’t worry, if you do not know the name of the lace, as it will appear on the screen in a short while.  If your board contains that type of lace, mark the square.  The winner is the first person to mark every square on the diagonals as shown below.  As each type of lace is displayed, information in both French and English will be presented. Join us for an interactive Lace Bingo Game. Prizes will be awarded!

The winners of Lace BINGO will each receive the lace pattern known as ‘vase with peonies’ from the OIDFA Congress 2023 Pattern Book.  This beautiful pattern is related to Slovenia and its lace history.  It is a pattern for Slovene bobbin lace from the catalog Yugoslav Laces published by the Central National Institute for Women’s Handicraft Ljubljana in 1930.
