Congress accommodations are:

Bedding is included in the student dormitory rental – sheets, blanket, pillow case, towel.

There is a public bus between Nova Gorica and Gorizia, you can also walk or take a taxi.
A free city bus runs between all accommodations and the Congress venue, also taxi is not expensive (around 5 € to Hotel Sabotin and around 10 € to Hotel Lipa).

Main Venue:  
The General Assembly, lectures, national stands, competition and other exhibitions, as well as traders stands, will be at the multipurpose centre Telovadnica, address: Rejčeva ulica 1b, Nova Gorica, Slovenia.  In the vicinity are a health centre, pharmacy, post office, tourist office, several banks and many shops, restaurants and bars. Lunches for Congress participants will be available at the Congress venue.

Events:
Get-together Party with Istrian Costume Presentation – Friday, 4 August at 20.00 – 22.00 will feature the Istrian Costume Presentation and light snacks.
OIDFA Dinner – Saturday, 5 August at 20.00 – 22.00 Don’t forget to come dressed in your lace finery. The well-known Slovenian performers singer Bogdana Herman and accordionist Jure Tori will perform at the dinner.
Farewell Event – Sunday, 6 August at 20.00 – 22.00 will feature a demonstration of Slovenian headdress ‘peča’ and light snacks.

Congress Pattern Folder and Congress Proceedings:
A digital link will be provided to all registrants for the Pattern Folder and Congress Proceedings. Printed copies may be ordered on the Registration Form: Pattern Folder – 30€; Lecture Notes – 25 €.

Covid:
OIDFA will follow applicable restrictions in place at the time of the event as determined by the governments of Slovenia and Italy. As noted in the Congress Policy Statement, the following is applicable in regards to cancellations and refunds: Cancellations made after 30 June 2023; no refund will be made. No exceptions. If cancellation is a concern, please purchase trip and medical insurance.

Gluten Free:
There are restaurants in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), Gorizia (Italy) and their surroundings that offer gluten-free food.  By following this link you will find some of them: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g612453-zfz10992-Nova_Gorica_Styria_Region.html.  Restaurant Gurman (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g612453-d8552557-Reviews-Restavracija_Gurman-Nova_Gorica_Styria_Region.html) is only 750 meters from the Congress venue.   It is also possible to buy gluten free products (bread, cakes etc.) in shops.
